Expecting mom Raya celebrated the impending arrival of her little one with friends and family at this gorgeous, vintage inspired, shabby chic baby shower. Planning and design credit goes to Raya’s sweet friend Sarah Hock, while photographer Raya Carlisle captured all of the beautiful images. Sarah wanted to incorporate Raya’s love for all things vintage, using baby art from the 50s as an inspiration. She also wanted to keep the event very feminine to celebrate Raya having a little girl. “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” became the perfect theme, and this beautiful, pared-down shabby chic style complemented it so well.
Sarah transformed childhood photos of guests into faux polaroids, which she then strung together on ribbon with clothespins, creating a darling garland. Later, these photos were attached to a blessing book with each guest’s personal message for the mom-to-be. Each guest also had a custom hand-stamped placecard, tied onto a Lollia handcreme favor. They filled the afternoon by sharing memories over a delicious menu. Guests also played a fun vintage baby shower Bingo game that was not only a perfect addition to the decor, but also quite amusing.
