Elliott’s Sweet DIY Nursery and Newborn Session

This shabby chic, DIY nursery for adorable baby girl Elliott is so warm and personal! Korie Lynn Photography captured this beautiful space along with little Elliott herself and proud parents Jannah and Joe. Surprisingly, this was photographer Korie Lynn Photography‘s first newborn shoot!

Both parents had a part in making this room extra special. Dad Joe made the precious mobile with a hanging birdhouse, branches, and little flying birds. Mom Jannah created silhouette art featuring all of the important people in Elliott’s life. Over her crib hang her parents and grandparents, and over the changing table hang all of her aunts and uncles. The changing table was also a DIY project: They found the piece on Craigslist and then painted it green. See more from this room and this sweet family in the full gallery.

We had so much fun putting our girl’s room together! The wall color is Sherwin Williams Napery and (like my dear mother-in-law posted for me), the changing table was done in Benjamin Moore Dill Pickle in a wonderful water soluble low VOC water based paint that we are really pleased with — it is not tacky or peeling at all!

Totally love this room! AND this is the first time I’ve seen anyone else with a little girl named Elliot – my daughter is 2 and that is her name (Scrubs was my husbands favorite show). Such a sweet name, for such sweet girls :)
