Alice in Wonderland Inspired Birthday Party

When her little girl Lauren was about to turn nine, Tamara Poppitt of Poppy Photography wanted to do something super special for her. Lauren wanted the party to be a surprise, so after agreeing on the tea party theme, the rest of the plans were kept secret. She arrived on the day of the party after a night at her grandparents’ house to find a red and blue, Alice in Wonderland inspired birthday party loaded with thoughtful and fun details. Streamers and a yarn chandelier created by Tamara hung overhead, while little “eat me” and “drink me” signs adorned the refreshments. Lauren even had her own Alice costume, hand sewn by her aunt. Rook & Rose Floral Design Boutique provided lovely floral design that accented the party perfectly. To see more of this charming tea party, stop by the full gallery.

Hi there, this is such a beautiful party! I’m trying to get some decorations together for my sister’s outdoor wedding reception and I would love to imitate the large, blue, hollow globes you have hanging from the ceiling here. What method did you use for those?

    Thanks for your help!
