Ava’s Boho Chic Birthday Party

Ava celebrated her first birthday in style with a charming Boho Chic themed party, designed with love by her mom Candace of Candy & Cake. The theme was inspired by the birthday girl’s nursery, which has a similar look and a matching, cheerful palette of aqua, yellow, and green. Candace brought in bohemian, homespun touches, like DIY yarn details, wooden placecard holders, and a fabric backdrop for the dessert table that matches Ava’s crib comforter. Paper goods from Jayme Marie Designs coordinated perfectly with the party. Candace also created most of the beautiful desserts, including that adorable, elephant-topped cake! Juli Labrecque Photography captured all of these lovely photos, and you can see more from this darling party in the full gallery.

This is all SO cute! I love the colors and all of the details. And the backdrop fabric is a particular favorite – I used it for shams in my guest room (in another color scheme!).
