Baby Helen and Her Pink and Navy Nautical Nursery

Pink and Navy Nautical Nursery

This darling nautical themed nursery belongs to adorable Helen, who was just five days old for this sweet session by J.A. Laub Photography. Helen’s parents Kerry and Alan put a lot of love into planning her nursery, and they along with friends and family personally crafted many of the objects in the room. We love the clean white and gray base colors in the room that are accented with bold pink and navy elements. Read on for more details from Kerry about how the nursery design came together, then stop by the full gallery for all the photos!

“I created many different little aspects of the nursery along with my husband, Alan. Two of my favorite things about her nursery is the bedding and mobile. My dear friend Kristy made the beautiful quilt and my aunt Debbie made a matching crib skirt. The mobile was created by friends and family that all attended one of my baby showers. Each person created a ‘poof’ then Alan and I put together the mobile. In the center of the mobile are the poofs that Mommy and Daddy made. In the picture where we are reading a book, that is the book that I gave to Alan to tell him that we were going to have a baby. Two of our childhood toys are waiting on the bookshelf for her to grow big enough to play with them. We are thrilled to finally have our sweet girl.”

Great job on the nursery, it’s beautiful.
Is that adorable yellow doll vintage?? I had that same doll as a child and would love to find one for my daughter- does there happen to be a tag on it?

Helen’s momma here. Thank you all for the sweet words!! I loved getting her nursery ready for her arrival.

Lindsay – The yellow doll was my first doll as a child (28 years ago.) I checked and there was not a tag on it. :(

Tanner – I saw the idea for the pink heart on pinterest and painted it. It wasn’t too hard. I painted the canvas pink, then I made a stencil of a heart and painted the letters.

How did you make the mobile? Did the pink storage totes come with the anchors on them? It’s all so cute!
