Expecting mama Heather MacEachern of HRM Photography Inc. wanted a heartfelt way to share the gender of their baby on the way with family and friends. Heather turned to Jenna Tregenza Parties to help her style this fun gender reveal party with a super sweet film reveal. Jenna shared all the planning details with us, so read on below for more info, then stop by the full gallery to see more. You can also check out the actual gender reveal video at the bottom of the post and find out if it’s a he or a she!
“I started with the idea of film and created a custom concept that was central to cinematography. We chose a black and white color palette with pops of bright-as-the-sky blue alongside a punchy carnation pink. We paired a stripe, polka dot and chevron to mix things up a bit. Her four-year-old daughter, Iris, was an integral part of the event design process and made special requests for gingerbread babies and Halloween treat bags. Iris loves to draw! We embraced this by carrying a chalkboard theme throughout the film and into the event to gracefully marry everything together. Giant balloons, carnation garlands, paper anemones, fringe garlands and cozy yarn details complimented the stripe, polka dot and bold chevron. Guests were asked to wear boutonnieres to celebrate their best guess and were kept waiting until showtime!
“We worked quickly with a cinematographer to bring this film concept to life. Greg at AV Artisan Productions captured Iris’ cheeky personality and the raw emotion of this precious time in their lives so well. Voila, a portrait and gender reveal wrapped up into one sweet unforgettable story!”
