It doesn’t get much sweeter than Winnie the Pooh, and this classic Pooh themed birthday party brings all the charm of those beloved stories. Little Graham, son of Rebecca Cash of Captivating Photography, was turning one, and both he and his mom have fallen in love with Winnie the Pooh. Rebecca also wanted a party that would appeal to the many adult guests, and this was a fantastic, nostalgic theme. The party has a great vintage feel and is full of darling details without being over-the-top. Rebecca shared more about the planning process with us, so read on for all the info, then be sure to stop by the gallery to see all of the beautiful photos she captured!
“I began looking for vintage Pooh books and bee items at vintage stores months in advance. I really wanted to focus on the classic Pooh stories so I scattered book pages, framed Pooh illustrations and garland made of vintage pooh books throughout the party. I also set out some of my favorite classic book finds! I ordered honey with honey dippers for party favors for the adults and I made little honey pots for the children full of yummy goodies. I kept the Pooh theme going with the food and made, among other things, acorn bites from the hundred acer wood, a veggie tray from rabbit’s garden, pb + j sandwiches in Pooh shapes and honey Graham cracker s’more pops complete with little bees. The guest’s had honey lemonade and cupcakes topped with honey pots. Graham’s cake was a tree trunk complete with a classic pooh and bees!”
