A Sweet, Little Deer Themed 1st Birthday Party

A Sweet, Little Deer Themed 1st Birthday Party

Little Lucca’s parents know her to be a sweet little dear, so her mom Rachel Van Auken knew a deer theme would be perfect for her first birthday celebration. Rachel had one of her favorite artists, Kelli Murray, design the beautiful invitations, which set the tone for the party. Rachel styled the decor with a few charming vintage items along with some antlers and a few flowers, keeping it simple but so lovely. We are of course thrilled to see how she also incorporated some of our initial free printables into the scene!

The event was a cozy affair, and lots of loved ones added their own contributions. Dad Brent was in charge of the coffee and music. Grandma baked all the egg dishes along with some delicious scones. And Lucca’s cousin Bryn made the darling cake. And could Lucca be any cuter? (By the way, if you are smitten with Rachel’s and Lucca’s headbands, you should drop by Rachel’s blog where Turbans for Tots is hosting a giveaway for a matching set right now!) Lucca’s dad, photographer Brent Van Auken, captured all the photos, and you can see them all over in the full gallery.
